Atlas Moth

The life of an atlas moth is short, sometimes mere days, and is filled with dangers from birds, bats, and lizards. It doesn’t go down without a fight, using cobra-like markings on its wingtips to deter predators.

In the original drawing, I used graphite and pencils in browns, yellows, and oranges to portray the atlas moth’s refusal to surrender in the face of difficult odds.
