Painted Beetle (winter)
Painted Beetle (Winter) contains a Japanese winter scene within its shell. Bare branches sit atop a snow capped mountain. A cold hush hangs in the air.
In the original drawing, I used graphite and layers of colored pencil to mimic the look of a colorful wood block printed beetle shell.
Each of the four seasons is represented in the Painted Beetle series.
Archival giclee print made from the original pencil drawing. Printed on heavyweight matte archival paper. Signed. Unframed. Originals not sold through this website.
