Vampire Bat Skull

Close anatomical study strips away the myth of “evil”, often exposing a guiltless creature beneath unfair human judgement. The vampire bat is the rare exception, refusing to look innocent. Staring down the sharp, angular, elongated geometry of its skull is unsettling. The alien appearance only heightens its sinister design.

In the original drawing, I used fine linework and graphite shadows to depict the menacing skeletal forms of the vampire bat.
