Ladybug with Filigree

A ladybug is a voracious predator, swarms devastating pests that would otherwise bring famine. The paradox: what humans call divine good luck is born from a beetle’s desperate, unyielding hunger.

I used heavy graphite and bright, layered colored pencil to depict the striking shell of a lucky ladybug surrounded by leaf inspired filigree.
