Terracotta Warrior

The Terracotta Army was unearthed by a group of farmers digging a well near Xi’an, China, where an ordinary field revealed a remarkable secret: a vast subterranean army built to accompany the emperor in the afterlife. If not for the chance placement of the well, the Warriors’ existence might still be unknown.

In the original drawing, I used bold graphite, fine linework, and smudging to capture the Terracotta Warrior’s stoic dignity.

Archival giclee print made from the original drawing. Printed on heavyweight matte archival paper. Signed. Unframed. Originals not sold through this website.
