Ossuary Skulls

Standing among the remains of 50,000 souls, arranged in somber geometric patterns, the St. James Ossuary in Brno, Czech Republic, feels strangely intimate.

I used bold black graphite and negative space to recreate the reverence of a subterranean ossuary chamber.
